Blood Coagulator Installation

Blood coagulator installed at CBH Mahikeng–Supreme Chicken.

To reduce the volume of blood from the main processing plant a blood coagulator is installed. It reduces the water content in the blood forming a sludge. This is then added to the rendering cooking process. With the reduction of moisture in the cooking mix the cooking times reduces and savings can be seen in steam usage, coal usage and power consumption, it will also reduce cooking and drying times opening up space for more raw products to be processed.
